Has anyone here used the Lens Pen? Is it safe? My friend swears by it.

I was extremely skeptical about using the Lenspen until I read where Leica bought some. Mine works quite well. The cheapest I've found them is at Ritz Camera for $7.99.

I bought one yesterday! Seems to work fine.

In fact, my FZ10 came complete with an enormous greasy finger print in the middle of the lens. It was the only FZ10 in town and it was display stock. It was that one or nothing, so I bought it. Since then I've had three goes at cleaning off the finger print with just a damp microfibre cloth. It mostly worked but still left some streaking. But just a few seconds with the lens pen got the rest of it off and the lens is shiny and spotlessly clean now!

But even with this miracle I'm now looking at adapters and UV filters as a way to stop anyone touching my lens ever again. I sometimes wonder how that original print got there as it was so large, so clear, and oh so greasy!
