The first 2 were taken at full 420 optical with the 1.5 Lumix teleconverter. The last one was taken without the converter. All hand held on IS mode 2at ISO 50 and using full manual settings. No noise reduction software was applied.

Photos reduced in size for quick download

Teleconverter was removed for this one as I was able to get closer.

This is my first look at pictures taken with the Lumix telephoto it looks very good. However, Panasonic recommends the use of a tripod at the high zoom settings on the 12x FZ10. They were not even considering 630mm. Yes, the OIS has helped you out but at a cost. The cost in the high zoom is detail. Do you see what I see? The first two pictures are very good but lack the detail in the body hair that the third possess. Your Lumix telephoto add-on is capable better images. The third shot besides the aforementioned has better composition and is a real winner. I would be also interested in knowing what the speed and aperture was for all three pictures. One more thing use a lens shade and if you decide to use a tripod shut of OIS it get confused when there is no movement. If you are satisfied with all three then I will shut up and disregard everything I have said.

The first photograph was taken at about 280mm hand held with OIS on.

The second is a crop blowup ofthe first.
