Just in case anyone's interested, this (see picture links) is one way to connect an Olympus TCON-300 3X telephoto lens to a FZ1. I used good quality electrical tape.

Be sure to use a reasonable amount of tape and stretch it so it really binds the cut-off section of the lens hood to the TCON-300.

When you have your TCON-300 with its adaptor that allows a quick connection to your camera, remember that the camera's light — but the TCON-300 isn't — so avoiding holding the camera without supporting the weight of the telephoto lens.

It will be seen from the pictures that it is of course possible to use some sort of adhesive to securely bond the cut-off hood section to the TCON-300. I didn't do this myself because (a) I wasn't sure what sort of adhesive to use to get a reliable join, and (b) that would result in making the TCON-300 harder to sell if I should want to later.
