Hi!

I'm looking for a new camera and have narrowed it down to the new fz 20 and the Konica Minolta Z3. The autofocus speed of the Z3 is amazing so I just wondered if someone here knowshow fast the fz20 is?

Thank you

well, together with that new hyped Venus-2 engine its supposed to be faster, but ill remain rather cautious since the development of focus-speed is rather disapointing. The af-speed of the fz10 isnt any faster than the one of my nearly 4 years old coolpix 990 ...

Lets hope that when the reviews are done on both some sort of repeatable auto focus speed test at a couple of set light levels, could be devised. Alsoat both ends & perhaps the middle of the zoom range.

Claims in brochures of video camera like auto focus speeds don't mean much until we can attach some numbers to it.

And whats the point if it can zoom fast, but it has to be a summer day for it to lock on?

These questions and more need to be answered.
