Shot to shot time is awesome on the FZ10...a little faster on the FZ20 maybe with the new chip....but with the falling prices of the FZ10, I would get that and wait for the FZ30, 40 when it comes out if you really need that. I have a FZ10 and love it!! You won't be dissapointed. Use burst mode for the fast shots

only trouble with the 20 is that the fine image files means only 51 photos on a 128mb, so it means alot more money to get a bigger card because i want to save roughly 100

is the time for storing also affected by the type/brand of sd card?

"is the time for storing also affected by the type/brand of sd card?"

yes it is, there has been many discussion about speed of cards and so on...i just got my fz10 this past weekend and went to a detroit baseball game and took alot of action 5 shot burst mode pictures at full 12x zoom as i has pretty far the action.....anyways i have a transcend 45x sd card and it only took 2 seconds or less to write to card and be able to shoot again, very fast for me...i've heard but not confirmed by me that cards under 256mb or slow to write....

as mentioned before stay with panasonic 256 or bigger and/or the cards i have will save you lots of money, my 512 transcend 45x was 100 bucks US, i also got a 256 card for 47$, so now i can shot 400 pictures at one time...

ALso Steve that runs the website tested the fz10 with the exact card i have...

later

ok thanks for that info! i was looking at getting 512mb because for the fz20 at fine it can hold 205 photos, 102 for the 256 and only 51 for the 128, so it looks like i will get a 512 if i get the 20. whats the fastest speed tho for one of them?

Fast 512mb cards are little expensive in the UK

The sweet spot pricewise at the moment is the 256mb hi-speed card you can pick up at amazon for just £29.99, whereas a 512mb will cost £69.99 (guess that isn't much though)
