Hi, Does anybody know how to get no-dark shots at the fastest shutter speed??? I mean at 1/2000........I usually set shutter speed at 1/1000 or a bit faster, 'cos at 1/2000 images get darkened too much, from my point of view. Any ideas are very welcomed.

Thanks,

you should be able to use a wider aperture, but you arent, you just can use 2000 at f8, thats why everything gets darker, and being able to use a f8-1/2000 with good quality(50iso) will not happen very often. its for other planet shooting conditions.

Dont forget your fz10 next time you go to Venus or Mercury.

I've taken photos of falling drops at 1/2000, ISO 50 (with my FZ10), and gotten truly stop-action results. The method was a bit circuitous: I put the camera on a tripod (so the distance and backround would never vary), used a flash, and thentook trial pictures to find the correct f/stop. Since the faucet for the droplets was only a few inches from the camera, f/8 at 1/2000 was overexposed until I throttled down the (external) flash quite a bit.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Variations of this approach worked well with outdoor fountains also, butdon't recallwhether the shutter was ever faster than 1/1300 or 1/1600 for those.

Totally agree.

And Charlie, Im gonna try to take some shots at 1/2000 with flash, I hope to get some good results as you do.

Anybody knows if FZ20 is gonna be able to set shutter speed at 1/2000withan aperture= 2.8????

Thanks,
