Has anyone actually done the Lumix FZ1 to FZ2 firmware upgrade? Did you run into any problems that I should be wary of?

Thanks for any advice on this subject.

Thanks!

You mean there is someone who actually has NOT done the upgrade?

I frequent pretty much all of the Panasonic related forums that I've been able to find, and I haven't seen any notice of anyone having problems with the upgrade, including sending their cameras into Panasonic for warranty repairs and such. The camera was either returned to them with the original firmware put back on or it came back with the upgraded firmware intact.

Hey, thanks for your encouraging reply! :-)

Actually, shortly after I posted about the upgrade I decided just to take my heart in my hands and doit. Piece of cake! Much ado about nothing!

Now, as for the P-A-S exposure settings on the FZ2: what does the S stand for? Standard, as in the camera decides???

Just checked out your website. What a terrific resource! Thanks!

So, the Panasonic formus you refer to are all listed there?

Jane: Welcome to this site and congrats on your FZ1 Version2. It is a piece of cake upgrading . Re P-A-S. The P is for program mode (basically the auto mode). S is for shutter priority and A for aperture priority. You can select only one of the last 2. If you select A, then the shutter speed is automatically chosen by the camera and vice versa.

Enjoy your camera (and check out FZ- Club.com)
