Hi Bob,

I'm new to this forum but a new member suggested you might have some advice on a problem I've encountered with my FZ10. I suddenly seem to have 4-5 specks of dust inside the lens that weren't there a few days ago. Has any one else encountered this problem? Any suggestions on corrective measures? Thanks in advance for any thoughts you may have.

Kerry

I've assisted two others who had the same situation. Neither case saw any trace of it in any photo. We can disassemble the lens and clean it. Our service facility in Elgin IL can take care of it. The address is in your owners manual.

At this time I am studying this, though the infrequent number of times I've seen it suggests it's not a wide spread issue.

I am wondering if the lens adapter with the UV Filter would help prevent this from happening?

I've got about 3 or for specks inside the lens on my FZ10. Have not seen any effects in pictures.

The extention and withdrawing of lens has to displace air. Interested in how Panasonic has addressed the intake and expulsion of air. Is it filtered in some way?

Or am I all wet in my thinking?

Bob,

I have an adapter tube and filter on at all times.

I have a bunch of dust speckles and they seem to be getting more and more with use. I have not seen any artifacts in pictures, but would like to get lens cleaned.

My camera is less than 3 months old.

Please advise,

Thank you,

Dan
