Which would be a better point and shoot camera until advanced manual modes are learned?

Is the auto focus and zoom speed on the fz20 much faster with the new venus engine compared to the fz10?

I have had a fz10 since November 03, unfortunatly because of career change have not had much time to play, now that I am finally finding time, I feel the autofocus and zoom speed to be rather slow and am considering upgrading to the fz20.

Any thoughts? Will I find the fz20 better camera for a newbie that wants to learn and advance to better photography or should I stick with the fz10 for now?

Thanks

If u already have the fz10, why spend more money? It is an excellent camera. Of course, the fz20 is a bit better and faster, but if I were you I would master the fz10 and as a reward treat yourself to the 20. They're very similar, if not identical in function.

Shakey

Thanks for your reply makes a lot of sense, just needed confirmation of what I should have known to master what I have before wanting/wishing for the next in line, even though not much differences. : )
