This is one of mybest shots took with my FZ20. I'm very much still learning the art of photography but this is a great camera to learn with.

A nice bird. It would be an awsome picture, if the sharpness would a bit better. I think one should make such pictures with the quickest shutter release. This is the advantage of a DSLR camera with an APO objective. But anyway a good take!

Great bird shot... One of my favorites on this forum. The little lack of sharpness doesn't detract at all, it's w/in acceptable range. Nicely composed and evokes emotion.

I agree. I have been trying to get good birt shots for a while now, and them little critters are so fast, it's hard to get a crystal clear shot.

I spent hours over a 2 day period in a bird hide and took over 300 pictures, and probably only 25% of them came out half decent, and a small handfull came out pretty good.

Great shot!

Thanks for the comments guys.

The picture was taken at 1/100 second f2.8 at full zoom so I presume a lesser camera ie one without IS and f2.8 throughout the zoom range would havestruggled to get auseable picture.

Try a little Focus Magic on it. There is a free trial. I used-up my 10 free images trying to get one picture right before realizing that by clicking on the photo, it would preview an area. Makes that little birdy look right nice...
