Well, I'm as happy as a clam, I went ahead and bought the FZ20, just got back from Circuit City with box in hand, charger is in the wall as I write this...I am SO excited!

Looking for any advice, I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to get a bigger card and extra battery or maybe Monday but camera's in my possession at least!

Circuit City has a good deal on the extended warranty, 2 years for $89.00 and you have 30 days to purchase it, covers lightning and surges too, I thought that was pretty good for that price anyway.

Does anyone have anymore pictures to look at from the FZ20? I have been searching for more, I am interested also in getting that filter to use instead of the lens cap.

Thank you all for all your great tips and information, I am hoping to post some pics soon!

Sincerely
Linda

Congrats on your purchase!

I'm as excited as you are except I've not gotten my FZ20 yet! In my case, thanks to all the forum input, I included in my purchase the UV lens (note, I have the 62mm adapter on order also) and memory card.

ENJOY YOUR NEW TOY!

It was hard to decide which adapter to chose give the list provided on one of the earlier thread. Being new to all this I took a chance and order this lense adapter from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

As far as uv lens go, here's an interesting read:

http://www.photo.net/equipment/filters/

It will up to you whether to go for the cheap or expensive stuff. I sort of got something in between...ProMaster double coated uv lense which I also order from Onecall along with my FZ20 purchase.

For me once I have the adaptor and uv lense in place on the camera, I don't believe I will be using any additional lens attachment...I truly hope this WILL be the case.

Good luck! BTW, my FZ20 came in last night. Still in the process of getting familiar with it.

Boy am I and the wife having fun with this thing. It's not hard to believe we've already taken over 500 photos!

Here's a night shot of Atlanta, GA I took last night...only resized.

Oh my gosh, your night shot is GORGEOUS!

What setting is this on please?

Great job and I know about taking so many, I took 40 autumn leaf pics yesterday, hubby said "Geez, think you have enough leaves..." LOL

Great shot again, tell your wife, I am having TOO much fun also!
