I have a FZ1 upgrade and on the ther is AE MODE P A S and i dont see anything in the manul about this what does it do?

On the regular FZ1, all it has is Program mode, which is basically point and shoot. This is identified by the camera symbol on the mode dial. When you apply the firmware upgrade, selecting the camera symbol now gives you three options. The first, identified on the EVF/LCD menu by "P" is the same point and shoot mode that you had before. "A" is aperture priority mode. Here, you set the f-stop you want and the camera will select the proper shutter speed. The third mode is "S" which is shutter priority. In this case, you select the shutter speed you want and the camera will select the proper f-stop. At least that's the way I read it when looking at the FZ1 and FZ2 manuals. Hope this helps.
