I bought a Sunpak 383 to go on my Panasonic DMC FZ20. Can I use NiMH batteries instead of alkaline or nicad? The owners manual does not mention them for the flash, but they work fine in cameras.

Thanks

Yes, no problem. I use NIMH batteries in mine.

I just got a Quantaray QB-350A. Is that a good flash, and is it ok to use with the FZ-20?

According to link, I would say the voltage is too high.http://www.cs.mtu.edu/~shene/DigiCam/. Look under FZ 10, Flash, Trigger voltage. There is a chart that lists flashes and yours is not recommended.
