Have you looked at Nightowl camera for the FZ15? $429.00 not a bad price. They have great support and do what they say they will do.

You can check the rating here http://pe.epubliceye.com/fl/report.cfm?key=2858

That's impossible for me, they say: We can only accept orders from the United States.

$640 to import to France does seem high. Is that because of the exchange rate or what? Do you know anyone here in the US that would be able to get one and send it to you via US Postal or someone like DHL? I'm thinking when I had someone get something for me in Japan shipping to me was only $30.00 and I got it in two days.

I wonder if nightowl will accept an order from the the US and ship it to France. Just thinking out loud.

What about guarantee? Its not like you are trying to bypass Panasonic Europe or anything. However, it might be something to check. There are export forms which nightowl may not want to deal with.

When I import anything from Japan the warranty is no good in the U.S. so I would have to send it back to Japan to get work done. I would think it would be the same for something coming from the U.S. to France. Really no big deal most of the time. If something did go wrong you would just want someone here in the U.S. to be able to send it in for you. That's what I love about using Allan, He takes good care you you if something goes wrong. I have found many shops here in the U.S. that work on the imports but I have not had to use them. So far all my Panasonic stuff has held up very well.
You could always check with Panasonic Europe to see if they would work on a U.S. model.

Already done, I'm waiting for an answer

ABE's of Maine don't accept Visa or MasterCard. With a wire transfert, it cost me too much. And the price don't include international warranty (3 years for $50).

I don't know why Panasonic Europe don't sell DMC-FZ15 but I'm sure this camera is for me :-).

I don't know what to do for now but I feel this Christmas would be sad without it

You could also try:

http://www.geheugenkaart.be/

It is a Belgium shop and they sell the FZ15. Price: Euro 498,-

I will probably buy the FZ15 in the Netherlands at http://www.progress.nl
Price there Euro 451,25

Good luck,

Wijs
