http://www.raynox.co.jp/english/digital/fz10/index.htm

Did anyone buy and use some of those FZ10/FZ20 accessories? They aren't that cheap (anyways, much cheaper than the original 1.5x and 0.8x Panasonic add-ons)

The 2.2x boosts to 950mm-equiv, while the 0.66x gets to a 24mm-equiv with minimum barrel distortion (-1.3%) and some vignetting (if not using another adapter).

I searched around this forum but I found only "it seems good" and "ltz10 is better" style comments (yeah, but LTZ10 is 1.5x only and costs almost as much as an FZ20...).

I have the rt5264p adapter. Works very nicely with the fz20. Also the dcr5000 (.5x) and the dcr720 (.72x) wide wide angle converters.See http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=10708626 I also have the dcr250 super macro lens and it works very well with the fz20. I havent gotten around to posting shots with that yet. Plan to do so soon.

Thanks for your feedback.

As for any other electronics/computer/camera stuff, I am not willing to make any decision starting only from technical descriptions. With the exception of those jerks who keep up buying (and not using anymore after a few dozen shots) the most pricey cameras around, word of mouth and reasons why a camera was serviced are the most important criteria.

I even happened to write my own page (in Italian only, sorry: http://www.alfonsomartone.itb.it/pbapml.html) in comparing the Lumix FZ10/FZ20 and the Dimage Z3.

Current LTZ10 street-pricing here in Italy is (ouch!) 505 euro (yes, it's about 640 US$ !!!); lots of point-and-shoot sold here, and only a few ultrazoom's...
