I received my case and battery from Panasonic this morning, November 2nd. I was surprised that it only took 15 days from mailing off the paperwork to receipt of the package.

The battery is the same one that came with my FZ3. The case says it is custom made for the FZ10. I have the lens hood adapter ring on my camera, along with a filter and the original factory lens cap. The camera with these accessories attached barely fits into the case. I am pretty sure that the larger FZ10/15/20 would only fit in the case with no attachments. Still, the case is not too bad. It provides a fair amount of protection to the camera, and I'm sure that if you treat the camera with a normal amount of care, it should work well. I did find that it took a lot of time to stuff the camera's neck strap into the case and tuck it away so that I could close the case properly. What I ended up doing was to leave the strap hanging out of the case. That way, I don't need to use the strap that came with the case. I use the camera's strap instead. I have a small case from an old point & shoot that is a perfect fit for the charger, an extra battery and a few spare SD cards.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the case. After all, it was free, and it's nice to have an extra fully charged battery on hand.

Just curious about the free case / battery... how did you get them? Are there pictures of the case and of the back of the battery posted somewhere, or could you post some?

Thanks

I'll give it a try. I've never posted a picture. These aren't very sharp, because I couldn't use my FZ3! The first is of the FZ3 next to the case, and the second is of the camera in the case.

Well, it looks a bit like a lunch box to me... what is it made of? Does it have a belt loop and small pockets in its inside to store batteries, filters, etc? Still, if it was free, it's a good thing.
