That's a really nice shot. But that is one messed up Red Tail.:lol:

Hey, are you using any kind of close up ring or lens adaptor for your super macro pictures. Because they are amazingly sharp. I have a FZ20 as well and would love to know your secret.

Willow1,

Where in the US do you live? I ask because what I know to be a bluejay (see attached photo) looks nothing like what your's looks like. I live in New England (just outside of Boston) but I realize that other parts of the country have different species.

Just a curious bird person.

I agree with rschofield,
I'm pretty sure that it is not a blue Jay but some kind of Flycatcher.
