ah...lol! it is..wow...

thanks for looking

oh yeah...about the graphics tablet..

wouldn't it be tough to line up where you want to draw, and where you draw on the pad?

like, if you were to makea mask to hide the effect of a sharpening or something...and you need to follow a distinct line, wouldn't it be difficult to line it up?

The positioning is absolute by default. Meaning that if you put the pen tip to the top left corner of the acive area your cursor will be at the top left corner of you monitor, so it's just like you are sketching on a peice of paper.

If you get a good paint program (one that is designed for freehand type graphics), you can do pretty much anything that you can do with real art media. I use Corel Painter 8 (formerly Fractal Design Painter). It has every type of media and brush that you could buy in an art store, and you can create your own custom brushes as well and adjust pressure effects for each brush.

You can also use the mouse as well for things that you feel more comfortable using a mouse for. Or you can cut out masks, tape them to the tablet and trace them out if you want or use a ruler on the tablet.

It's really great if you like to draw, paint, pastel, or whatever.

Nice work, Bob. Love it. I'm waiting for a used Wacom 8X6
tab to come in the mail I got on eBay for (get this) $30. What graphics program did you use?
Thanks Nick.

Wow thats a great deal. I payed 200 bucks at Comp USA. You should go on wacoms site and order a set of pen tips. They are like 20 bucks for 5, and it's good to have spares as they do wear.

Sorry Nick.

I just used Photoshop Elements, cause it was just a quick sketch. I prefer Corel Painter 8 (formerly Fractal Design Painter). It is geared specifically for art, and is a great program.

Lense flare? I drew that moon by hand...

Just kidding...

Thanks. If you are into art, you should get a tablet. They are fun.

Here is another done in Corel Painter (formerly Fractal Design Painter). As you can see I need to brush up on my art skills... It's been a long time since I have done any free hand stuff.
