I have been toying with the idea of getting the Raynox DCR-2020 Pro Telephoto lens for my FZ20. I have seen a few pictures taken with another FZ20 and this setup. They looked pretty good. See the link below. Has anyone else had any experience with this lens? :?:

I have it and have use it with both the FZ10 and FZ20. I am pleased with the results for the price. I primarily use it for bird shots. This picture was taken with the raynox and FZ10.

This shot was taken with the FZ20 without the raynox at full zoom.

willow,
I know that the Raynox will thread into the 62mm end of the Phayee adapter. I am not sure but I am guessing that if the other adapters (pemaraal etc.) have a 62mm thread on the end it would mount on those without the need for any additional rings. Supposedly there is no loss of light. You get the full f2.8 of the Leica lens.
It's $189.00 at B&H.

bmullen,
Thanks for posting the samples.
Are those pictures taken at the full end of the zoom? They look pretty good but I have nothing to compare them with other than the zoom on the FZ20. Are those handheld shots or tripod?
I also would like the lens for bird and wildlife shots.

thanks again for your reply.

Jazzmaster,

I have kind of been hearing the same thing. I think Normcar has the Pana tele and is very happy with it. But yipes, the price. Thats almost half way to a really nice Kowa or Pentax spotting scope. I know it not quiet the same thing but I also have a Nikon cp4500 that would be perfect for digiscoping and one of those spotting scopes would work really well with that camera.
But now we're talking over a $1000 instead of $189. Choices choices, what ever shall I do.... :?:

Thanks for the imput.
