I have a FZ1/v2 and a FZ15 both made in Japan. I assume the FZ20 is the same.

Memory cards.....I have some from Panasonic and one from SanDisk. I like them both and have not had a bit of trouble from any of them.

Trevor

Mine was made in Japan.

As for the SD card, I have a Toshiba 512mb 10X
and a Sandisk Ultra 512mb 60X. They both perform well. The camera will max out at about 40X, so all the extra is not used by the camera. A fast card only becomes and issue for fast shooting, re: 2 or 3 shots per second.

Many people on this forum are using the Kingmax 1GB 60X card from www.newegg.com. I wish I had one, but I can't justify it for now.

Good Luck, Hope this helps.

Mine was made in Japan. It is not unusual however for the same manufacturer to make different product lines in different countries.

Mines written 'made in japan' but they do out-source . Once upon a time everything was made in Japan, then taiwan, then malaysia, and now its all China... Money, Money, Money... Corporates move to China as their labour is cheaper... Look at Sony.. Check the new Dvds, TVs etc.. all made in China.. Of course with QC conditions to render a great product..

I am in South Korea. I just bought a headset and the brand is hyundai, a Korean company. But it's printed "made in China".

I have used several brands of SD cards without problems. My most recent buy was a 1 gig KINGMAX card from www.newegg.com that was on sale for $66. It is the fastest yet. Newegg is an excellent company to deal with.
