I was at my girlfriend's in Long Island today, took a walk on the boardwalk and this is what washed up on shore (guess it was too windy!):

Bob, I am 12 years older since that picture(still have my teeth & retained my figure but probably not for long - planning on children...) but I am taken anyway. Thanks for the compliment, always nice to hear.

Interesting 'catch' with the camera.

It's a lighted navigation buoy. Without the people in the shot for reference, you wouldn't guess how big it is.

Could you imagine some ship trying to take a fix off of it after it had drifted several miles from it's mooring? Think of what it would be like if expressway exit ramp signs got moved around.

Great picture... but yeccch.
Is there anything we don't make foul? Over these parts - a bit south of you, an oil tanker spilled either 30,000 or 425,000 gallons (not sure yet... kind of a wide margin of error) of crude into the Delaware river. Poor innocent birds... covered in crude, sure to die. Makes me ill.

Well... off to teach my multimedia class (till 11:00PM), then 8:00 AM business writing, then 6:00 PM Macromedia Director class, followed by 8:00 AM Business Ethics...(showing the movie "The Insider", great flick if you've never seen it.)

In other word, "time to make da donuts."

... that's all for now folks. Have a nice night.

N
