Just set up a page on this, fresh from yesterday.

http://www.nzmacro.50megs.com/aphidmenu1.htm

Large page for us dialups, sobeware :-)

For scale, aphids on a needle and a Carnation stamen

You will see CA and distortions at this ratio, but its something I could never achieve with 35mm bellows and macro lenses at this ratio. So I'll take what I can get, LOL. Full frames and the settings were: FZ10 @ full digital zoom, F/8, 1/80th, ISmode 2, manual focus and settings, flash and daylight, hand held. Added Canon 35mm slr lens @ F/5.6.

All the best folks. :-)

Danny.

Not yet Vito. I'm still trying new lenses to how the optics react between them mate. I tried a Canon 35-70 today on a fly. I'll post some shots later for you. At the 70mm setting its excellent, at the 35mm setting, it reacts with the CCD with a strange background screen type of effect. No idea why, but its interesting. I also want to hook up a fast diffused flash and see how the quality goes with this, if I can find another aphid giving birth :-).

Anyway, thanks Vito.

Willow, its a REAL pleasure to see you my friend. I hope things get better mate.
