yup u can do it ...all you have to do is push the button at the right time!!!!!

jk....

you first need a tripod..then a thunder storm...then just try some tv and av setting till you get the right exposure.....

i wish the fz 20 had BULB setting i took great lighting shots long ago with mt 35 mm canon rebel...if you can setthe fz 20on the longest shutter speed -( 8 sec i think). on a tripod pointed at the storm clouds would be your beast bet i plain to try when the storm comes back around here in fla...its kinda hit and miss just truing to catch a strike at the right time to release the shutter...just remember all thing are possible ..

"good luck:G

Very simple to take lightning pics..
Step 1. Go to open field..
Step 2. Hold FZ20 in one hand and a metal rod in the other..
Step 3. See how quick the lightning pics come...shoot away..
:blah:

Yes Jake D, I really do think WE will all be overexposed, but I really think fireworks was joking. yep when I get some more dollars I've got a shopping list for the FZ20 and that includes your idea for a cable release. Thanks for your ideas.
