I really like Imagenomic's Noiseware, however, it's not free as a photoshop plug-in.

I also use Neatimage (Free version)

Below are the same pic, one filtered with neatimage and one without.

Not sure if the difference can be seen here, but in its original file, there is quite a large difference. I am happy with neatimage.

Filtered with neatimage

You might try this one from the "other Forum." There are many good things said about it and a developer willing to improve it if there is enough interest.

I have downloaded and received a serial number (Free, but may cost later) but haven't had the time to test it myself. Check it out. Here's the link:

P.S. Just read the thread again and it seems NeatImage and Noise Ninja cannot beat this program according to the posts. Now I gotta get going and test it.

Noise is a grainy appearance that shouldn't be present. It is caused by electronic "noise" in the camera's sensor, that becomes more apparent at high ISO settings and long exposures.

So ignoring the freeware part what noise removal software do people around here like?

I just purchased an FZ-20 and am interested in getting a few tools to help my pictures out.

I had looked at Noise Ninja 2 but haven't seen alot about it around here.

I downloaded the software Jering recommended and I must admit it is really good. If the author gives this software a face lift and keeps updating it, it will blow everything out of the water. It's really good!
