Quite a few people complained about the FZ20 not having a RAW mode. I'm not one of them, because I would only be interested in using RAW very occasionally.

The camera must capture the image in raw mode before converting it to jpeg or TIFF. That being the case, why not offer the option of saving a RAW file, by pressing a button, AFTER you review the image on the LCD? It seems to me this would give the best of both worlds for a future camera.

Purely speculation, but I don't think you'll ever see the RAW format in this line. [I don't miss it, frankly.] I just think the Venus engine really processes these images, especially to reduce noise.

Panasonic Bob seems to have disappeared...

Good point .. I've been thining about our "Panasonic Bob" not showing up on the forum for a while too, may be he's working on testing the FZ30 !

Not sure about having the raw mode either, but a firmware upgrade for the Fz10 to do tiff's would be nice !
