Here's a panoramic picture that I shot of steam fog rising from the warmer water of Lake Superior while the air temperature is at -14 F. I used the software supplied with the camera to put together eight shots taken with the camera upon a tripod. I had no trouble with the camera but my hands were a little shaky because I was wearing thin gloves in order to manipulate the controls. What do you think? Was it worth it?

Hope you warmed up by now.

Good work with the photos and the pano. I got cold looking at the picture.

Jering,

Very cool pic, no pun intended. There you go with one of those incredible landscapes that I told you I envy your location for. I know I have been there. Is that right in town? Looks very familiar.

By the way. What precautions did you take to protect your Lumix from condensation when you went back in doors. I stepped out the other day just for two minutes to snap a shot and had a little bit of fog on the UV filter when I ducked back in.

I would love to take some shots outside when the sun comes back out again, I'm just a little nervous about condensation on my new FZ3.

Keep warm,

-Brett

Thanks for the comments!

bmccoy,

I was a bit apprehensive myself about condensation. Would not have thought about it had it not been for this forum. I had the camera on a tripod as I mentioned. When I took it out of the car, I covered it with a garbage bag (sorry Panasonic) and brought it in. I let it sit for about 10 minutes and all was well, no condensation at all.

By the way, that is, in fact, right in town, on the highway next to the harbor.
