Here is another picture that is primarily a landscape. There are a few birds but they are so far away they only add a little atmosphere.

Love this simple but beautiful landscape, smac. I assume you used a UV/Haze filter? Otherwise the mountains would not be so clear in the distance. (Especially in California... those smog jokes I remember as a kid Carson saying all the time on the old Tonight Show, really weren't jokes, I learned when I started traveling there on business a lot about a decade ago...:G)

I am happy to say that, that California, is 500 miles to the south. I spent my very young years there and have no desire to return.
Yes, my UV/Haze filter was in place. However we had just had a nice cleansing north wind so the air was pretty clear anyway.
