Happy new year to you all. My folks came over from NZ for Christmas and so we did a bit of a tour around. After taking far to many photos and spending hours sorting them all out I thought I would share some with you.
These are from Mt Kosciuszko the highest mountain in Australia, ok so its only 2228 m (7310 ft) but the view from the top was pretty amazing.
Enjoy

Maybe this is what Led Zeppelin was talking about in that song?

It looks gorgeous. It must have been a nice trek? Say, in that first picture, is that you pressing the elevator (lift) call button for the ride down?:-)

I love outdoor treks like that. It's been too rainy here so I will live vicariously through you if that's OK?

All the best in the new year m8t.

Thanks Steve. I actually wasnt expecting snow just after Christmas any where in Australia so it was a nice surprise.
I wish we did have an elevator ride down. The mountain is actually a ski field so you can take a chair lift up ~800 Vertical metres and then walk the 7 km to the summit, as it turned out the chair lift stops quite early so we had to make a quick return trip (running at 2200 metres at -15 C is easy!) to catch the chairlift before it closed!
