I found this tricycle setting in a childcare playground next to my Co.training school.thought it looked so lifeless without any one moving it for weeks....

Desolate is an appropriate term. Empty, decaying playgrounds are... One expects to see children laughing and playing but instead finds atrophy. Great choice of subject matter. I think this would have had as much - in not more(?) impact as a contrasty black and white - long shadows, sans effects perhaps.

thx Nick for the feedback.....only if i could have gotten inside the fence but it was locked i could have gotten the proper perspective for a much longer and more dramatic shadowing of the tricycle. Itried a monotone effect on the first pic but it seem to drab for the angle of the trike.the over the top pic seemed to work ok i guess for the semi monotone giving there was more shadowsto play with......great observation on your part Nick..all is welcomed..

PS. i guess i could have jumped the fence at 3:00am.

It is calling for a child's butt on the seat and those young legs pumping furiously on the short cranks......:-)

Very nice pics and effects! I like the second one, looks like an old pic from the past to me!
