Has anybody here place any type of LCD protector on their camera? I worry that somehow my LCD will be scratched. It never fails with my cell phones that when I remove that plastic covering, a scratch eventually appears. I was looking around on eBay, and I didn't want to try the static cling one. This is what I'm looking at:

Any thoughts?

Hi I was eyeing on that too. But I read such LCD screen protector can get in the way if you use the viewfinder. And asthere are buttons around the LCD, it might get in the way or your thumb might accidental hit the LCD screen protector and causes it to fall off. So in the end, I did not buy it and went for those stickers(not static) for mobiles and PDAs instead. JMO.

I have one of these on a FZ20 and works prefectly. You can't tell it's on. The price is right also.:arrow::arrow:
http://www.daproducts.com/ Click on the little shopping cart to see a list of cameras.:!: It doesn't interfer or fall off. I tried those film protectors and they were junk.

Hey that is quite reasonable priced! Even if it falls off, :blah: it is worth a try for that price(for Canon Rebel)! Nooner, can you tell me exactly which size fits the FZ20? Cos I can't find the selector and it does not says much but leads to a table. TIA

I bought screen protectors that were for a Palm m130 by Fellowes. They were on sale 12ea for $5.00 so the price was right. I just cut to fit the LCD for the FZ20 and it works fine. The image looks slightly different but not enough to say so. :-) I like the way it worked some much I put one on the cell phone.

piece of cake to make yourself - just go to any hardware store - buy a thin piece of plexi-glass - cut to your size - and apply with double-sided tape - voila - LCD protector made to suit !!!
