jmblackston,

Yours is either a Downy or a Hairy Woodpecker, depending on size. In either case, the male has a red head patch.

Downy: Sparrow size, stubby bill
Hairy: Robin size, longer bill


bobc,

Your first image is of a Red-bellied Woodpecker.

The second is of a White-breasted Nuthatch (left, upside down) and either a Downy or Hairy Woodpecker.

Watched for a little and saw 1 bird but landed and left before I could get a clue on what he was.

The feeders I made are Japanese in theme with the heart motif for my GF.
