i've been messing with my new NIkon 6T lens, but since it was already almost dark and cold when i got home from work today, i had to restrict my experimentation to stuff in the house. i took these just to compare...

this first one was shot at f2.8, 1/60 (handheld), at 72mm zoom (35mm equiv), without the 6T...

this one was shot at the same speed/aperture, and from about the same distance, but with the 6T on, and at full 12x zoom.... quite a difference!

That is really cool of the 6T. That's what I ike about the Nikon T close ups lens. You won't lose quality with zoom unlike my current close lens(single element) with are restricted to fixed focal distance. But I am waiting for my 3T & 4T arrivals!

I took shots in house most of the time in the evening too. But what you can do is on your light or lights to make the environment brighter. Cos the flash sometimes can be too harsh for pic. Even if you usea diffuser or bounce card, it can be harsh too if there is not much light in the house or where you took that.

I just love the colors and simplicity of the second shot. This would look great - I think, as a big enlargement, framed.

Wow, that's a very very nice display of the actual power of that 6T

I am still wondering which what be a more interresting add on lens to start with; I like both the loooong telezoom, but the clooooose up just as much; I think this is one heck of a good reason to go for macro first
