The weather forcast was for rain. Happily it was wrong. My wife and I went to the refuge to see what we could find. We found an amazing day.
An Adult Bald Eagle was teaching a Juvenile to hunt. More accurately, the adult was chasing the juvenile out of the tree every time it came back without a kill. So, for about an hour my wife and I watched the two eagles take off and then circle back the same tree. Here are just a few of the shots I was able to get.

Here is the unretouched version of the last picture. It's only been resized for posting.

Good job smac. I'm down in the Central Valley and it rained today. Chico looks pretty dry.

Great shots smac. You definately got the birds down to a science. I will find a bald eagle in Pennsylvania if its the last thing I do...:|

And when I do... I'll probably screw the shot up some how...

Great work...

Awesome shots smac! Ive only tried a few shots at flying birds, but none were salvageable, guess i just need to keep practicing.
