Further to nzmacro's idea ot a cheap glass magnifying glass
1/8 @ f2.8 5mm (36mm) closeup mode onmy FZ1v2
image is not bad.... the mag. glass was hand held close to the FZ1 front element glass.
OIS on of course. room lighting only.

Hmmmmmmmmm, not bad at all Boyzo! Almost wish I didn't spend $50 on that Raynox macro lens (...I did say "almost"). Nice watch by the way.

You guys are having so much fun with the FZ1 I'm thinking about getting one off ebay to use when I want IR, etc. I haven't handled one and was wondering if it is very much smaller than the FZ20 and is also edible?:arrow::roll::arrow::arrow::!:

Well... We know why boyzo can't afford a close up lense...

He spent all his money on a watch...:G:G:G

Cool idea m8 (without the extra t, because eight (8) allready has the t)...

bobc,

You are right about the "t" already in "8". Maybe they were trying to say, "Matey".

Just a guess.

Well there ya go M8t. Some have a problems understanding it for sure :-), but you never know what you have until you try it.Well done cobber.

Many of my shots were taken with the magnifying glass and many folks are shocked when you tell them, so I don't tell them. :-)

Heres one that has done quite well for me using the magnifying glass. A very small fly this one.

Certain things you need to realize though.

The larger the magnifying glass, in physical size, the less the diameter we are shooting through vs thecamera lens size = the less distortion you will have.

It must be real glass, not acrylic. Glass.

So that shot there of the fly was taken with a $2.00 magnifying glass...around .80 cents US at the time.

And the problem is ??? :-)

Danny.

I'm getting slow in my old age... I get it now m8t... In fact... It sounds better to me, as a m8 could be construed as m8-ing, and I only do that with one person (my m8 (wife))...:?

And onother thing... I am getting me a magnifying glass this weekend... m8t.

LOL Bob.it started out as "M8" M8t, but somehow in other forums we picked up the"T" and somehow its stuck. For some funny reason cobber, what ever forum I'm in, we see it all the time , no idea why, LOL.

M8 is fine Bob, it is a complete waste of a "T' and bandwidth :-)

Danny.

Great watch and even better pic esp considering you did it holding a mag. glass. When I look at it it seems that the second hand should be moving:-).

Happy :|,
