Well constructed feedback.

I will go on to say that these were merely snapshots and not well thought out constructed photographs. I will also repeat that I did nothing to any of the pictures other than show what the camera is capable of in its own right without anything other than to resize with ifranview 3.91.

Mahalo,

Tom

All you guys keep cheering " YEAH nice pictures". But some healthy criticism and good tips could improve the photo's of yourself and the rest of the forum.

Don't see this as a flame.. because it isn't. Just some advice in my opinion

Tim:

I think the photos are great, really great!!!

however I liked your criticism. This kind of suggestion is very constructive and help all of us to think how can we do better next time. I'll post some of mines, and I'll be waiting for all your opinions.

Ehrr yes? what is the meaning of the butterfly picture?

You quoted my text. I said that pictures weren't critiscized enough at this forum... what does your picture got to do with that

Tim

There are rules of composition...

rule of thirds

foreground framing

don't ever put horizon thru the center
ie 1/3 sky 2/3 fourground or 2/3 sky 1/3 foreground

and other rules.....

one is keep it simple when you can
have a main point of interest
try to tell a story with the picture....

most in here are friendly folk no one ever gets picky but are always helpfull.

eg read Nicktrop's posts and many others too

have a look at this pic Tim
http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...97&forum_id=23
most like it despite horizon being thru' the centre. ;-)

Ok.. you're absolutely right. There are dozens of exceptions.

As for the photo... you might want to post it in your own thread? This is someone else's about a petrified forest. Thats why I didn't get the clue behind the picture
