I will say that the FZ1v2 is tack sharp and a better camera overall in the FZ family. It's just being used by a friend in California right now and I do miss using it. I will say what I have seen from the FZ15 that another friend of mine has is better than both the FZ10 and FZ20. I can't say much about the FZ3. I am not unhappy at all with any of the cameras but I know that with the FZ1 I got a higher percentage of excellent shots over the other two FZ cameras I now have. I just need to learn each respective camera more intimately.

I will go on record to say that the sharpness of my LC40 blows away any of my FZ cameras. It does have a bit of a problem with color correctness straight out of the camera but a bit of PS clears that right up.

FZ1v2 pixel for pixel is the champ.:G
Well the FZ1 has the smallest glass elements of FZ range is
that the reason or is it also the sensor thing.

I am actually an EX-FZ1'er. I've had a FZ10 since its release in November of 2003. I would have to say that the FZ1 was a better automatic camera than the FZ10 is..I suspect thats because the higher megapixel cuts down on the amount of light per sensor.. But I wouldn't give up the manual functions of the FZ10, or the hotshoe.

Although, if I knew then what I know now..I'd have gone for the LC1. Ah well.

LC1 is very nice top optics from reviews.
3x zoom tho'
its also more manual if you want that.
fine camera twin of the leica digilux (made by pana)

Very nice from over the pond :-). Gorgeous colours and contrasts M8t.

2 megapixel, nothing wrong with it. 90% of the images on my site are with the Sony CD-1000 at 1.9 megapixel. Print out just fine, so its certainly not all about the mega's IMO.

Glass and optical design come first, IS comes second, the eye behind it all comes next, then the features, finally the megapixels. All only IMO of course, but thats how I figure it. :-)

All the best over the ditch, very nicely done M8t.

Danny.

So anf FZ1 fans speak up.
Ever since I got mine a few months ago I've been a huge FZ1 fan. But I didn't realize until this thread that your pics have been with an fz1. I've been admiring all of them, especially the more candid shots of people as you've been touring around.

Your an inspiration for all of us fz1ers, keep it up!

Thanks :G:G

with FZ1 tight framing at shoot time it the secret... and ...
It takes a while to be at one with the camera, especially coming from 35mm slr's.
It really looks after a good many things so you can just concentrate on the shooting.
It could be faster at times tho' to grab just the right moment in a candid but all in all damn great.

FZ1 to FZ2 firmware is cool, added control.
