I like the composition on the first one. It's like you did a reversal for the dof. I'm sure most people would have had the road foreground blurred, and the distant scene focused. Different. Can't decide either way if it works or not, but if the photo gets your attention, that's the point of it. Like the boat picture too. Cheers......thekman.

I like #2 most;it's amagic athmosphere, andit makes the viewer curious what's on the other side of the hill. The house in the back does very good

I think the soften background in #1 reduces the beauty of the scene;

#3 is fairly common, compared to the other 2

Cheers! GB

Actually, I like #3 the best. It's like a study in vertical lines. How DID you get that DOF effect in the first shot? Was it a happy accident?

Hi GB, Nick! Thanks for the comments!

For the 1 shot, it was an accident. I put at F8 and I thought the DOF will be enough for the whole image to be sharp. I tried these during my SLR days playing with hyperfocusing with small apetures and it worked. Guess the F8 on the FZ10 is not small enough. Nevertheless, I too like the effect. I guess its a good accident!

I'll tell ya what... You nailed that 1st one. You turned an accident into a new method in which to get an awesome effect.

That shot is one of the best I've seen here.

Great job m8t...
