... the FZ-1 and 3 (really all of them...) are made for this type of photography! Kudos... I would love to take some shots like this but I feel a little awkward doing it. (Not that I should...)

Think of the uses these wonderful cameras would have for PI work. You know,cheating husbands, wifes, midgets, etc..............................................: arrow:

People can react to a camera pointed at them in various ways you need to allow for that.
See this shot...

In the McNear bar I did some discreet compostion thru' the LCD screen and simply rested the FZ1 on the my lunch table so I let FZ1 auto focus etc do all the work, the important fact was the camera was NOT up at my face but on the table gentle press on shutter an no one was aware no noise either.
The people do not react but act normally.

Rule 1: one MUST be discreet
when taking pics or peeps on the street.
