beautiful shot ...can he fly?..i have a pic of bert and ernie...they are my friends ..they flew all the way from south america to visit me and my friends in the hood...they make lots of noise when they vist me ..
oh..oh see bert she is mellow

bert is my friend
ernie is my freind
they visit me often
i like bert
i like ernie

This is a terrific shot, I LOVE the off-center composition, and low dof, and how the boid fills the whole right side of the image. Plus, you cought the bird at exactly the right time, like (s)he was posing for you...

Indeed a very fine shot there; What caught my eye is that the bird is exactly against the darker background of the tree behind; Well done!

Thanks to all for the kind words.

This was shot through an open door in my lounge room.
By moving left or right I can choose the background most suitable, foilage as in this case, tree trunk or water.

jazzmaster221, he is a wild bird and yes, he can fly.

vIZnquest, I have no artistic abilities and the best I can hope for is learning the mechanics of photography. For presentation I copy the styles of others Not being able to come up with original ideas is not going to stop me from enjoying this wonderful hobby.
