Seeing what this fz could do I spoted a Magpie and took 3 shots. The first is a regular picture follow by 12x zoom followed by 48x zoom.

strolling a little further the kids found the birds quite friendly.....but you had to have food.

I was wondering how did you keep the bird in place for testing the zoom... I understand now, you have it trained!!! :G

I guess it's the Panasonic O.I.S - it keeps still both your lens and birds in pictures:-)
