The supply of new fz1s has just about dried up but there is one very good deal left. See http://www.viking.com/ddSKU.do?level...id=Q02-DMCFZ1S $250and $20 off a$200 order with coupon code QV1-PRD20 plus free shipping. $230 delivered new for what may be the best 2mp camera ever made aint too shabby. As the above photos demonstrate, the fz1 gets the job done.

All great shots; but the original post one really amazes me; I tried to nail birds today, and it is darn hard :?

Get a bigger hammer.. LoL.. joking.. just joking..

I admire those that can nail those shots of birds though.

The last one with the Trees and the Lake or Pond is very nice indeed.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and the warm welcome. I think this forum great. It does not seem to be overwhelmed with people talking about one of the newest Panasonic models and not much else, like some other forums out there. (if you know what I mean:-)) There seems to be a more diverse group at Steve's, and that is refreshing! I like to take photos with these great cameras and not complain about what shortcommings they have.
As someone stated earlier in this thread, there is no such thing as a perfect camera.:| Great to be a part of this photographic community!

Wow, that was a beautiful pic. I barely got my FZ1v2 (used) and I must say that I am not going to use my 4MP Canon anymore. Long live the FZ1/FZ1v2!!!
