Thanks for this shot Msantos: great.

I know of Cholula because -apart from Egyptology which I currently study- I have been very captured in reading about Mesoamerican Civilizations.

Actually the Pyramid of Cholula looks like a hill. It has many tunnels within it.
There is also the story of a massacre there in the Conquest period, a slaughter by Cortez's army.

I can't imagine if you can go to Teotihuacan (NE of Mexico city, or to Tula), to La Venta or other Olmec sites in Tabascoor or to Tikal and any other Maya city in Chiapas, Guatemala or Belize, or Copan in Honduras....

There are amazing places there. Not to mention the Rio Azul or the Sumidero which are undescribeable.

Compliments for the pic
Francesco

PS only now I notice that you are from Mexico: this is one of the 3 places I like the most in the World.

Hey Narmer, you know more of our culture than many mexicans!!! :!:

If you think in traveling to Mexico, I'll be glad to take you everywhere.

You are rigth, Cholula was the most important religious center in Mexico at the moment of the conquest. There was a huge massacre directly from Cortez and that is the reason because there are a lot of churches. Spanishconquestors had to impose catholic religion over the pre-hispanic one.

Thanks to everybody for your comments.
