One of the big attractions in Maui is the Road to Hana, which is a winding road of something like 687 curves. On the way about 7 miles short of Hana (I believe) is The Garden of Eden, and it looks like it sounds. You can feed the birds, including this peacock who was friendly but a bit more scared than the ducks:

Looks like he's giving you "the eye". Nice one. Know what's great about this? You have something like 3000(!!!) shots of Hawaii? Did I remember that number right? You've taken more pics in your vacation during one week than I have since June! Obviously, this is one vacation you will never forget. Years from now you'll appreciate the effort.

Nice shot. Boy are you right, the poor bird is transfixed on you and the camera. You rally captured its apprehension extremely well. Great angle for that look.

Thanks Nancy,

Pretty smart little creatures, I hear it's their camera of choice.

PTW. Ive heard that they've hadsome problemsin the winter. It gets pretty cold in Northern Japan. Solution, seal the Lumix in double zip-lock bags and immerse in the hot springs for 10 minutes. Works like a charm tounfreeze the zoom motor etc..!!!:-):-):-):-):-):-)
