I disagree, it is digital art which is now part of photography. Its not really my cup of tea but I can certainly see the talent and skill required to create this image. I wish I had the PS skills to do this.

I agree,

Maybe I was transported by the Flaming Pear plugins.

This might be OOT in this Forum but I also saw some FLUID plugins used here and in the first of my shots it is only the snow effect which has been simulated (actually the leaf was on a white paper sheet).

There could be a wide dissertation about the invasive PP on shots, from slight hues adjustments to cloning and retouching...

Oh for the love of Pete! Not again?

I have two opinions. ( And then my head's empty and has to spend the next 24hrs refilling)

1. The fist picture is one of my favorites. Crisp, clear, Simple. Great shot.

2. The second picture is "Fun". I find it fascinating to see what can be done with a digital image. It doesn't always work out, at least in my case, the way I thought it would. Sometimes it horrible, or boring and sometimes it surprises me. To my way of thinking, to say it has nothing to do with photography it like saying the abstract paintings aren't "Art".

Those are my opinions, time to refill.

smac

P.S. Here is another picture? to ponder.

Smac

I can't imagine that the original was better than the one you posted.

Only lack, in the color mutation the details within the flower have been mostly lost.

So I would have added a light as it came from the bloom.
And forgive me for retouching your great pic and for this further use of the FLOOD filter ...
