Hi,

This is another dew drop photo but I am posting it to indicate the limits of the raynox dcr-250 lens. The DOF even at f/8 is tiny when at full zoom, it isnt even enough to put the depth of a water drop in focus. While this lens is fun it does have its drawbacks. Just thought I would share.

with such shallow DOF, you must have to use manual focus...i don't think my eyes are that good anymore!!

squirl033, year the autofocus is useless at this magnification. I dont actually use manual focus either, well you have it in manual focus but you focus by moving the camera back and forward until you get it in focus and with a DOF of 1-2mm it can take a while to get a good photo!:?

Just give it a try Nick, you will be surprised with now easy it is to do. All you need is some flowers (get them for the wife, she will love you for it!) and place a few drops of water on it and play. The most difficult part is getting the drops right!
