Bump...

This thread kind of got me off of the chair and out to take some photos I've been meaning to for awhile.. This is outside of a car wash near where I live. During the day, nothing special other than the fact it's an American flag (special enough for me though). At night however, with the spotlights on it it takes on kind of a surreal look. It is Huge and just kind of floats in the breeze. 2 photos, FZ-20, auto mode using burst. About 1/4 sec at f2.8 ISO 80. Light pp in photoshop, mostly autolevels and a flaming pear frame. 100% crops on both.

Enjoy, comments welcome.

The second one..

I'll tell you.. Before I bought the camera I had read some complaints about the nightime capabilities of these cameras. I have to say that after a month of testing, the critics are full of it. I'm not saying these pictures are perfect, far from it but for hand held, manual focus, night time, I'm pleased...

:G

Edit: I'm going to try a few more soon and I'll post some high res ones on photobucket..

I see this thread could use some more variety

This is the royal flag, on top of the palace of 'Noordeinde'. It's the working palace of the queen. A black mourning ribbon is attached. (I shot the picture just after the death of prince Bernhard).
