Nancy,

Good shot. That is skim boarding though. I can tell he is close toshore with the sand kicking up in the water.I used to time the waves coming in and then throw the board toward the incoming wave and then jump on it and then hit the wave hard and then do a backflip. I miss those days. My skim board was made from the end of a giant wooden spool used to lay down cable lines back in the day. I also remember a fly by night idea that was used called the "belly bag". It was basically a big bag of air (like me)that what about 3/4 full and you would do the same thing across the water. Saw some major biff action then. I would laugh so hard I would have to go in the water and well you know... He he he..

Hi vIZ,

Now that you mention "belly bag" reminds me of using a matress

cover, or as we called it when I was in the Navy and passing thru on my way to Korea back in 1950,a f**t sack, what a ride! LOved those beaches.

Nancy, this is my favorite of your recent Hawaii posts. If I were to print this, I would crop out the water at the top and give it a 16:9 aspect ratio. Beautiful job.
