The FZ20 is excellent for birds.

This kingfisher was in rather low light - just resized

It's tough to get good focus in low light.

The first is really great. Nice close up and still a great amount of detail in the feathers. Great pictures. It's real hard to get nice pictures with cloudy situations but you're pictures are great.

Have you got more ?

The roller is pretty, only thing that might improve things is a touch of unsharp mask to bring out more feather and maybe some adjustment to make the sky a bit more blue..

Jlippert

I agree that FZ20 is great for Bird shooting, but -as any cam- it also gets the best results after a bit of photoshop (or any other software) PP other than simply resizing:

see for example the kingfisher

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/a...t.php?id=14535

and the same quickly PP (5min in Photoshop 7)

This beeing a bird from my home garden taken through the window: uppert part original, lower has had noise removal and some histogram correction in PSP - you may often improve the pictures considerably.

Thanks for all comments.
