Yesterday,there were announced at least 3 new Panasonic digital cameras, in Japan. All of them feture O.I.S. technology. Two of the models have 6x optical zoom in a compact body with 4 and 5 MP sensors , the other is a 3x zoom not unlike LC70 called the LS1. Except, the O.I.S. other news include 2" screens and faster processing and AF. All of them will run on 2xAA cells. Looks interesting, but I was a bit dissapointedto see that none of them will have much in a way of manual controls, i.e. the exposure is still limited to a full program mode
