How does this species of crow fly and hunt without a head?

ah! Nick I used the head for a nice crow's head soup for my lunch:blah:

Cropped the head because it seemed not very interesting( and a little out of focus because of movement). And before you start' Destry the crow' movement, please do not neglect the fact that it is 'edible'( at least for some). :G

So, here is going the whole crow, before it was given capital punishment

I can't believe you think the head is out of focus, that is one of the most in focus heads that I have seen in this forum for bird shots (including my own). The whole picture is very sharp and I really dig the out of focus background.

thanks a mill Nancy, coming from you it is a big big compliment. I have seen some marvelous pics from you on this forum.

BTW nick is not posting any of his.:? Let's hope he has not destroyed all of them ( and the camera alongwith), just because the FZ 10/20 looks like Prince Charles( after all FZs have a big snout)
